Troop Elections Coming Up

Troop elections will be held at the March 21 Troop Meeting. It is very important that every Scout attend. Your elections allow you to choose your troop leaders for the next six months. Plus, we must have a quorum to conduct elections, so your attendance is critical. As a reminder, all Scouts running for election should be prepared to give a one-to-two minute speech detailing why troop members should vote for you.  Scouts may run for more than one position in the Troop so long as they feel they can fulfill the duties of those positions for the next six months.

All Scouts registered with the Troop on March 21 are eligible to vote in the election so it is important to attend.

The link for the Spring 2022 elections is live. Please have Scouts complete that HERE.
  • Scouts, be sure you have enough Scouting experience and rank to run for office.
  • To run for SPL (Senior Patrol Leader), you must have a team of four ASPLs to run.
  • Submit the form only ONE TIME. Make sure you check off whatever positions you wish to run for.
  • Nominations close at 5pm Thursday, March 17.
  • Elections will take place at the Troop Meeting on March 21.
Please direct any questions to ASM Stephen Cook who is in charge of elections again.  Please remember that a parent must be copied on any email to a leader.

Thank you Mr. Cook, for leading our electoral process again.

2023 BSA National Jamboree

Scouts BSA 2023 National Jamboree will be July 19-28.

What is a Jamboree?  It's not a camp -- it's 360 degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventure that takes you places you never thought you'd go and challenges you to try things you never thought could.

Want to see what some past Jamborees have been like?  Check this video out:

If you think you'd be interested in going, visit the Jamboree website at jamboree.scouting.org to sign up for updates.  They always need staffers too, so if you've got older youth looking for an amazing leadership opportunity -- head to Summit and staff!

Sea Base - Moved to 2024

The Sea Base High Adventure trip has been moved to Summer 2024.  Registration opened on 1/12 but by the time we had a trek leader, most of the treks had been filled which limited our capacity.  Therefore, we've rescheduled Sea Base to Summer 2024 which puts Troop 1910 back on our normal High Adventure rotation.

Lee Sampson has stepped up to be the trek leader for this experience. Much more information to come on registration, training, etc. for when we get closer to time.

At this time, Summer 2023 will be Philmont High Adventure.
