Scout Sunday 2021

Scout Sunday will be observed February 14, 2021 at Keller UMC. Troop 1910 will be participating at each of the 9:00 and 11:00 am services.  However, due to COVID, volunteer numbers needed are greatly reduced.

An announcement was made at the February 1 Troop meeting concerning the volunteer needs at both the 9am and 11am services.  Scouts choosing to volunteer should be in full Field Uniform and RSVPs will be required.  Again, we will only need a handful of Scouts for each service.

You are welcome to wear your full Field Uniform to your own church as well on the day they celebrate Scout Sunday, which is typically the Sunday prior to 2/8 (Scouting’s birthday). This year that is February 7th.

Chisholm Trail

Chisholm Trail is a unique and unforgettable high adventure, the first of many for most scouts. While most High Adventure experiences require a scout to be 14, those who are 12 and have completed the 7th grade or 13 years old (by June) and older may attend Chisholm Trail.

At Chisholm Trail, we get a pontoon boat for a week, do six high adventure outposts, and cool off with watersports all afternoon every day!  The outposts could have us fighting in living history battles, tubing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, jumping on the blob, and more!

Chisholm Trail 2021 deposits of $125 per person are due to Bob Morgan 2/1.

CHISHOLM TRAIL DATES:

Scout Accounts may be used for such purpose of course. Total cost estimated at $450 per participant and adults are $400. We need to reserve our boat(s) now, and # seats per boat are limited, so need an accurate count of attendees at this time, i.e. please don’t commit if you aren’t sure that you can attend.

Parents should attend Troop meeting to discuss Chisholm Trail options with Bob Morgan.
