Philmont Crews Have Returned!

If you are on our Facebook page (which is only for Troop members), you know that our Philmonters are back because they are sharing all of their photos and videos, which are awesome!

They all did great, and we are all so proud of you for your successful High Adventure.

Special thanks to our Crew Leaders: Rick Ward (Scoutmaster for Philmont), John Kuehn (ASM), and Nick Nazarko (ASM), as well as Peter Leath, Tiffani Boyd, Steve Sprowls, Matt Wilkins, Bill Nesbitt, Greg Buell, and Meredith Rentz, that also hiked and helped out our 20 Scouts on this awesome trip.

July Campout

July 19-21 is our next Troop campout. We will be camping at Fort Richardson State Park with a focus on Pioneering.

WE CRITICALLY NEED WHITE BUFFALO LEADERSHIP FOR THIS EVENT.
Contact Jason Preissinger ASAP.

The $15 food to the patrol's QM is due the Monday, July 15, before the camping trip.

Permission forms are HERE.

Thank Yous!

A huge Scout's Salute to Ed Attel and Eric James for leading Summer Camp at Camp Hood in Mississippi.

Additionally, another huge Scout's Salute to Monica Attel and Russ Brown for braving the heat and leading Chisholm Trail.

Notice something similar with those two groupings of name?  The last name, Attel. Not only are one adult in the household volunteering in our unit -- they BOTH are!

Ultimately, what we would like to see is a last name for every scout in our unit so they have a parent representing and helping our Unit be that much better. The more of us that jump in to make a difference, the bigger the impact. The boys see it, they start to exemplify the service they witness and then their friends see it -- it makes a huge impact!

I challenge you to step up and help out in some capacity this year whether it's being a Merit Badge Counselor, attending to ensure we have adequate two-deep leadership at a campout, signing up to take IOLS and become an Assistant Scoutmaster, join the Committee and help the Troop administratively or come along on a campout to see where you can find a void to step in and help out.  This is our Unit and we should all put in the sweat equity to make it thrive.

Again, a HUGE hat's off to all of our leadership who step in to fill the gap, coordinate campouts, ensure YPT, communicate our schedule and lead these youth by example.  We appreciate you!
