Northern Tier Interest 2020
Future Northern Tier 2020 emails will be directed at those who have expressed interest and are eligible.
We will be entering the lottery for Northern Tier 2020 tomorrow morning. Thanks much for the survey responses, it will help in future planning but I realize now those responses are anonymous. We had 7 express interest in NT2020 and 8 "maybe". To get a more specific list of those interested I will be holding a quick interest meeting at this evening's Troop meeting, OR, you can reply to this email with the name of the adults and/or scout(s) interested in participating in NT2020.
Eligibility for NT 2020 is all participants must be age 14 by the time they arrive at Northern Tier OR have graduated from the 8th grade and be age 13 by the time they arrive.
No commitment at this time, we are just entering the lottery. Down payments are due in February if we win a trek. The timeline going forward is as follows:
- Entry into the lottery will open at 9:00 am CST on Tuesday January 8 and will close at 5:00 pm CST Tuesday January 15.
- Crews selected for a Northern Tier Trek will be notified by email by Feb 1, 2019.
- Crews selected in the lottery will need to submit their $800 per crew deposit by Feb 22, 2019.
- Any crews not selected will be notified by Feb 1 and a list of alternate dates will be provided.
- Available trips after lottery will be opened on a first-come, first-served basis on Feb 15, 2019.
