Unsold Camp Cards DUE TONIGHT

Camp Card money ($10 per card) and unsold cards are due to Bob Morgan tonight, Monday, April 30. Please be aware that once you took possession of the cards, you became responsible for their value. If you lose them, you must pay the Troop $5 per card because that's what we must pay Council back for each card that we don't return.

May Camping - Caving

Photo Source - Wild Cave Tours @ Colorado Bend State Park

For our May campout, we'll be going to Colorado Bend State Park where we will be doing some wild caving.

"Come and get an introduction to real wild caving with The Adventure Tour, our beginner's version of an authentic Central Texas Caving experience. This trip is our intermediate difficulty tour and it takes you a little deeper underground than our Discovery Tour but it is a relaxed and easy expedition for anyone who is ready to crawl and get dirty!" The Discovery Tour is also available for anyone who prefers a less-intense experience."

Please note there are costs associated with the cave tours.  The cost for the Adventure Tour is $25/person. The cost of the shorter Discovery Tour is $12/person. Descriptions of both tours are found HERE. The $15 food to the patrol's QM is due the Monday before the camping trip.

Permission forms are HERE.  These were due April 16.

Meal planning was conducted at Monday night's Troop meeting.  Due to campsite restrictions we have a maximum number of 64 overnight participants for this campout. Of those 64 available spots, we have 3 left if anyone else would like to sign up. We cannot guarantee caving tour availability, however, because reservations have already been made. At your request, we will be glad to check with Nichols Outdoor to see whether or not the tours are sold out.

Art In The Square

Our annual Art in the Square trash collection fundraiser is April 27-29. This is an opportunity for Scouts to earn money for their Scout account and to benefit the Troop as well.

Scout/adult pairs will earn $40 for each full shift worked. There are 43 shifts, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Remember that you AND your parent/guardian must sign up together. It is preferred that Scouts 14 and older sign up for the closing shifts.

Here's how it works in three easy steps

  1. Click HERE to see our SignUp
  2. Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
  3. Sign up!
It's that easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.com.

Note: SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone -- it's just a way for the Art in the Square coordinator, Tiffani Boyd, to get in touch with you.

If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact Mrs. Boyd via e-mail HERE and she will sign you up manually.

You will receive more details after your shift is assigned.
